It is the attitude of HUMILITY.
There are three
“NOT I”s
for our spiritual life.
NOT I BUT SIN.
NOT I BUT CHRIST.
NOT I BUT OTHERS.
1. NOT I BUT
SIN.
If you are
a believer in Christ,
you died to sin.
Coming to know and believe that
Christ’s death to sin was your death to sin.
We are no longer slaves to sin.
Sin has no more authority over you.
Consider yourselves to be dead to sin.
Not I but sin.
Consider yourselves to be alive to God in Christ Jesus.
2. NOT I
BUT CHRIST!
We died with Christ
so that we might be joined together to the resurrected Christ.
We are dead to sin. Yet we are alive to God in Christ Jesus.
This new life starts with how we think.
