The facts about
sin,
righteousness,
and judgment.
Even here, the Spirit works to glorify Christ and empower the disciples.
Concerning righteousness:
Jesus does not say “they” as in,
“the world” will no longer see Him.
At the cross, Jesus vindicated the righteousness of God concerning sin.
After He rose from the dead, He only appeared to His disciples -believers.
The Holy Spirit. takes up this work of convicting unbelievers of sin, righteousness, & judgment.
But of course He doesn’t do it directly.
Jesus told the disciples that they would do the works that He did.
The Spirit directly inspired the Scriptures that they wrote.
And then He went about building the church, the body of Christ.
The Spirit preaches His message through the church.
If you don’t believe there is a judgment, you don’t understand God’s righteousness.
If you don’t believe in the judgment, why exactly did Jesus have to die on the cross?
But if there is no judgment, then what the heck do they need to saved FROM???
Jesus warned the unbeliever about judgment.
