What do I have to be grateful for this year?
God’s ways are not our ways.
This has been a particularly difficult year.
Many of you have been through some very rough things this year.
Each one of us has reasons to be discouraged, frustrated, or bitter.
Such a heart is far removed from the place of gratitude and thanksgiving.
We shouldn’t allow these things to interfere with giving thanks to the Lord.
Paul had become indifferent to external circumstances.
What was the secret that he had learned?
Paul had learned the secret of contentment. It’s found in the peace of God.
1. Be anxious for nothing. Do not worry.
2. Make your requests (needs, worries, afflictions) known to God. Pray!
3. Let your mind dwell on the right things: goodness, truth, love.
What do we have to be grateful for?
Let’s let God tell us.
Psa 100
You and I will never want for any good thing.
These things are not affected by hardships, distresses, tribulation, affliction, or sword.
We are eagerly awaiting the revelation of our Lord Jesus Christ!
The Lord Jesus Christ will confirm us to the end.
We have been called into fellowship with God’s Son, Jesus Christ our Lord.
God has given us His Son, the Lord Jesus Christ. He is the source of all good things.
