“What a hot mess!”

This world is
too much for us.

Why do I keep doing that destructive thing, say that hurtful thing, think those awful thoughts … Why?

Our problems are too much for us.

Daily living
has this nasty way of throwing us for a loop.

Don’t you wish your soul was as easy to arrange as your wardrobe or your exercise routine?

I know where to go to learn how to play the piano, or to master carpentry or plumbing…

… but where do I go to learn how to master the art of daily living??

Can’t anybody help me start to MAKE SENSE OF IT ALL???

I finally understand redemption and justification and no condemnation,

and I am thrilled that I am being conformed to Christ -

- but how do I
deal with
the next 24 hours?

JAM 1:5-8

PRO 26:12
Do you see a man wise in his own eyes?
There is more hope for a fool than for him.

How do you get wisdom?

And it would be great if he could make it short, sweet, and memorable.

How do you get wisdom?

Over the centuries, societies have turned to philosophers to give them the answer.

Wisdom is perfect inside us when we are born and then we get corrupted. ~ Plato

Wisdom only comes with experience. ~Aristotle

The wisest person is the one who knows he has no wisdom! ~Socrates

But what does God say in His word?

How do you get wisdom?

JAM 1:5

Ask God for it.

That’s what the wisest man in the Old Testament did. His name was Solomon.

"Give me now wisdom and knowledge, that I may go out and come in before this people, for who can rule this great people of Yours?"
