What To Do About a Spiritual Broken Leg.

a. The invitation of God the Father to believe in Jesus Christ.

b. The election of the believer where the unique equality factor of the Church-age takes place!

You’re a new creature in Christ and your call is to your spiritual life.

2PE 3:18
"But grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ."

GAL 1:6
"I am amazed that you are so quickly deserting Him who called you by the grace of Christ, for a different gospel"

The "hope of your calling" is the absolute confidence that when you believe in Jesus Christ you have eternal life!

MAT 11:28
"Come to Me, all who are weary and heavy-laden, and I will give you rest.

JOH 6:35
Jesus said to them, "I am the bread of life; he who comes to Me shall not hunger, and he who believes in Me shall never thirst.

JOH 6:37
"All that the Father gives Me shall come to Me, and the one who comes to Me I will certainly not cast out.

JOH 6:44
"No one can come to Me, unless the Father who sent Me draws him; and I will raise him up on the last day.

JOH 7:37
Now on the last day, the great {day} of the feast, Jesus stood and cried out, saying, "If any man is thirsty, let him come to Me and drink.

JOH 14:6
Jesus said to him, "I am the way, and the truth, and the life; no one comes to the Father, but through Me.

We respond to God’s invitation; He does not respond to ours!

JER 17:9
"The heart of man is more deceitful than all else and is desperately sick; Who can understand it?

EPH 4:22
The old self is being corrupted in accordance with the lusts of deceit,

So, in the call of God, the invitation is from God to us not from us to God!

1TH 5:24
Faithful is He who calls you, and He also will bring it to pass.

When you respond to the invitation and believe in Christ, God provides for you everything that you need in salvation!

In the same way, when you are elected, God provides everything you will need for all of eternity plus the opportunity for fantastic blessings in time and in the eternal state!

EPH 4:1
I, therefore, the prisoner of the Lord, entreat you to walk in a manner worthy of the calling with which you have been called,

The "calling" is the doorway into election where the believer has the opportunity to receive God’s highest and best.

The word "worthy" is the key here because it is the aor/act/subj of the verb axios meaning to be deemed worthy, due something, fit for something, or suitable for something.

EPH 2:8-9
For by grace you have been saved through faith; and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God; not as a result of works, that no one should boast.

2CO 5:10
For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ, that each one may be recompensed for his deeds in the body, according to what he has done, whether good or bad.

REV 3:4
’But you have a few people in Sardis who have not soiled their garments; and they will walk with Me in white [Uniform of Glory]; for they are worthy.

REV 22:12
"Behold, I am coming quickly, and My reward is with Me, to render to every man according to what he has done.

The means of God calling you to receive the glory of TLJC is through the Gospel, 2TH 2:14.
