Thanking our veterans on Veterans Day

Captain Joe Ronnie Hooper

The Medal of Honor recipient must have distinguished themselves at the risk of their own life above and beyond the call of duty in action against an enemy of the United States.

God bless America,
Land that I love.

Stand beside her, and guide her
Through the night with a light
from above

From the mountains, to the prairies,
To the oceans white with foam,

God bless America,
My home sweet home.
God bless America,
My home sweet home.

What is discernment?

MAT 7:16
“You will know them by their fruits. Grapes are not gathered from thorn bushes nor figs from thistles, are they?”

JOH 15:2
“Every branch [believer] in Me that does not bear fruit, He takes away [discipline]; and every branch that bears fruit, He prunes it [suffering for blessing] so that it may bear more fruit.”

Suffering is part of the plan of God for our life.

But without Christ, without the word of God, any solutions that a man comes up with to the problem of human sin, suffering and death will always come up short.

“He knows the WHY for his existence, and will be able to bear almost any HOW.”

2PE 3:18
but grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. To Him be the glory, both now and to the day of eternity. Amen.

Believers in Christ have the only enduring WHY for human existence, because our meaning and our purpose have eternal significance.

2PE 3:18
but grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. To Him be the glory, both now and to the day of eternity. Amen.

If we respond positively to our Father’s dealings with us, we become more single minded in our devotion to Him and His Son.
