#1. Philosophy: “the love of wisdom”.
Philosophy is the study of the fundamental nature of truth, reality, knowledge, beauty, and ethics.
Your philosophy determines what you think and how you live. Even how and who/what you will worship.
Metaphysics: the study of existence, reality, and the ultimate nature of things
Epistemology: the study of knowledge, how we know what we know.
Ethics: the study of how people should act, what’s right and what’s wrong
Aesthetics: the study of basic philosophical questions about art and beauty.
Philosophy asks good questions.
All the right answers are in the Bible!
There is the wisdom from above, and then there is another wisdom that is earthy, natural, and demonic.
There is what the Bible teaches about the subjects of philosophy….
…and then there is everything else -
which is either
man-made or demonic.
What is truth?
Your answer to that question determines your philosophy.
“Truth is what can be demonstrated by science.”
“Truth is subjective, not objective. You have your truth and I have mine. So truth is what you say it is.”
“There is no such thing as truth.”
“The absolute truth, truth you can rely on, is revealed by God in the Bible.”
The truth is embodied in Jesus Christ, God’s Son.
